Christmas With The Blackmons

Holy Christmas, y’all. We’re less than a week away.

We have frantically finished our shopping, and in T-3 days we’ll be PA bound to spend the holidays with my family. I’m so excited to see them, but the 8 hour car ride is never looked forward to.

This will be my last post before Christmas, though, and honestly, I just want to share some holiday around our home! I’m the furthest thing from an interior designer, and thanks to Oliver and Zoey my house is never actually decent enough to take full pictures of, BUT I love the little nooks I have been able to keep decorated!

I’m not a very DIY person, but I made this last year and I still love it! Even though the J is slightly crooked… ?

These stocking holders were in the dollar section at Target! Someone broke all of ours last year (it was Oliver), so I was pumped to find these for cheap in case the same thing happened again! But also- they’re adorable.

This is about the only time this bookcase is not completely covered in dinosaurs. (Again, Oliver.)

I love these because Christmas never really makes it into my kitchen. My aunt made these for us, and I think they’re so sweet!

Because what is Christmas without some themed Christmas jammies from GiGi? She and Oliver actually have matching pajamas, but that kid is kind of over holding still for a picture.

You will also probably note my lack of picture of a tree…let’s just say ours is a little embarrassing this year. We threw out some ornaments last year and just lacked motivation to get them this year! I’m blaming my curious, crawling 8 month old.

Ok y’all, so I know these next photos aren’t “Christmas” BUT. It was Christmas to me when it came, and it’s my new favorite for the winter!

Just like all of the clothing I’ve gotten from the trendy online boutique, Pink Blush made this sweater so warm, so comfy, and y’all. I’m loving the suede elbow patches. I feel like it speaks to my inner English major. (A frightening majority of my professors owned blazers with suede elbow patches.) Shop it here for that last person on your list!

is has been a really busy and fun holiday season, and I’m so grateful to be able to celebrate it with this man.

Merry Christmas y’all! I hope you have the happiest of holidays! Leave me a comment and let me know what your plans are! And if you still have some last minute shopping today, I encourage you to check out these small shops and support their great causes!

Have a phenomenal day!

Merry Christmas, Alex!! I love all the little decorated nooks!! And the little Santa bum! The sweater is so pretty, too. I love that it’s neutral and the stripes are a fun little addition!

Wishing you all the best!! ♥️

I so appreciate your vulnerability in your blog posts. I can totally relate to each & every post. The decorations are so sweet & the littles are too stinking cute!
We have the opposite issue though with the tree. My MIL gets everyone Hallmark ornaments each year, it’s a sweet tradition that allowed her kids to have a full set of ornaments when they had their own home one day. Between my husband’s collection, the ones she’s given to me & our kids… we’ve had to keep so many in the box. We really need to just get a bigger tree!

Merry Christmas and many blessings in the new year!
